What kind of training can I expect as a new franchise owner?

Following the signing of your agreement, we will provide you immediate access to our training eHub. You will be provided training in the form of online courses for everything you need from site selection to hiring to purchasing and setting up your store. In addition, online training provides courses on the continued management and financial health of your location. On the week of opening, we will come to you with our Team to train your staff on our culture and quality expectations and to train you on all necessary management requirements. Our team will stay behind following grand opening for two full days to make sure you are up and running and that you have everything you need for a successful start.

What return can I expect on my investment?

As specific profit projections can vary for each franchise owner, we do not provide an estimate of profit or revenue. However, to view our previous financial experiences, we encourage you to request more information where you will receive our Franchise Disclosure Document containing our financial performance statements that we have experienced.

What are the royalty fees?

CHOP Barbershop franchise stores contribute 5% in a royalty fee, 1% in a marketing fee, 1% in a technology fee, and 1% in an education fee. The marketing fee is used for continued marketing efforts such as google ad words and social media campaigns which benefit all stores. The technology fee covers the membership fees for several software partnerships we enroll in for ease of management. Last, the education fee is utilized to provide continuing education to our franchisees and our staff via our online portal.

What do I get with the Franchise Fee?

The franchise fee provides you with the following: a license to operate a CHOP Barbershop, our assistance to help you open a location, our proprietary eHub, use of trademarked logos, daily schedules, policies and procedures, training systems, operational structure, and continuous support after opening and more.

Do you help with financing?

We do not currently offer financing. However, our franchise opportunity has been approved by the SBA and we can provide a list of SBA lenders who can help you procure financing.

How long has CHOP Barbershop been in business?

We opened in 2015 in Tallahassee, Florida. Since then, our company has expanded into 3 states with over 10 locations that are open or currently in development.

Do I have to have a background in Hair?

A hair background is not required! Our owners are typically responsible for engaging with employees and customers, managing the business, handling things like accounts payables and receivables, payroll, and HR. Hair knowledge is not required to own a successful CHOP Barbershop. However, if you choose not to manage Your shop directly, we do require you hire a shop manager. We recommend this manager be a barber or cosmetologist, but it is not required they carry a license.
